Changing Geopolitics of Eurasia
Inside Russia
Our "Russia is a subject of global politics" project examines the Kremlin’s ambitions to become a player in far-flung parts of the world, the tools it is relying upon to challenge the liberal international order, and practical Western policy options for responding to this new challenge.
Twenty-five years after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, our Changing Geopolitics of Eurasia project assesses the trajectories of the countries of Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia.
A collection of our analysis from Moscow and Washington on Russia’s domestic politics, societal trends, and economics.

India
Program
Our research on India is dedicated
to explaining and interpreting
India's rise by looking both within
and outside its borders. It places a
special emphasis on India's
domestic political economy, foreign
policy, and defense ties
Global Balance
Program
The program seeks to support dialogue – both within Russia and between Russia and the United States – on issues of nonproliferation, international oversight of nuclear materials, the ratification of treaties on nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, international cooperation on missile defense, and responses to the Iranian and North Korean nuclear programs.
Confidence Building Program
The program includes developing a platform to monitor and report on regional crises that could lead to internal chaos and damage critical U.S.-China relations. West support encourages multilateral dialogue to help resolve local conflicts, provide advice and assistance in local economic development and political reform efforts, and take confidence-building measures in US-China relations.
